  1. This is SO the show that Molloy couldn’t put together. He didn’t do the creepy test as you pointed out. I love the chicks in it too, they actually have something to say and a part to play rather than mere eye candy (although they are both spunks).

  2. Yup to all that.

Just before The Nation started, Mick Molloy said, in interview, something to the effect that he and his brothers realised political/topical humour was their forte. Wha?? Laconic and topical are oil and water, and Mick is only set to one speed. He is funniest as a parody of the shambolic desparado he is, unfortunately, rapidly becoming. Compared to Shaun, he just seems really old-fashioned.

Anyway. You’ve clearly unpacked all this in greater detail than I could possibly muster – cheers for that.

  3. Just watched tonight’s episode – excellent. It is hard to watch it and mot make comparisons to The Nation isn’t it?

  4. I was heaving with laughter during the Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome election opener. It’s hard not to think The Nation is shitter in comparison.

  5. I can see the headlines now – It’s Official – 87% of people agree The Nation is SHITTER

Play scrabulous with me on Facebook, I set up a game for us with our mutual girlfriend.

  6. A. I’m shitter at scrabulous than Mick Molloy is at television, and
    B. I’m not sure it’s the best use of my time, however
    C. I have made my move.
